About Maggie
I was a Web Designer/Front End Developer at Health Partner Plans, a managed care organization in Philadelphia. In my role, I had successfully completed many projects in a timely manner from start to launch. Some of the projects I had completed include a re-design and re-structure the internet and intranet company websites; by creating a vibrant new design and transferred to front-end using HTML, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript. Also, I had developed Search Engine and Search Engine Optimization strategies and had participated in design and development plans for the restructure of the organization intranet site with design capabilities to improve the user interface design.
Prior to Health Partners Plans, I was a programmer Analyst II. Also, I had served as a Web Master at University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Neurology in Los Angeles, California. My roles included the designing and development the departments internet and intranet sites, and assisting in monitoring the sites to keep content and technology current. The technologies I used were HTML, CSS, JSP and JavaScripts. I worked with a back-end programmer and a manager to develop and enhance usability. I completed the design and fully developed the departmental website with overwhelming satisfactions and exceeded the Chairman’s and faculty’s high requirements and expectations. I was the recipient of University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Neurology Chairman’s outstanding recognition and acknowledgment for design and development for the website, http://www.neurology.ucla.edu.
My Passion: "I am committed to continuously learning code and programming, dedicating my free time to developing small personal projects, exploring technical articles online, and engaging with tutorials in new languages, frameworks, and programming tools. My passion for technology and continuous learning is the driving force behind my goal to enhance my professional expertise in computer science. To achieve this, I plan to successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Information Science and Technology. This program will provide me with the advanced training and skills essential for my career progression. Beyond this, I aim to use this experience as a foundational step towards enrolling in the Information Science and Technology MS program, which will further elevate my academic and professional standing in the tech industry."
