My Passion

My background and focus is extensive in the field of web design and front-end development and I have maintained a state of the art, web technology and state of the art, well-rounded skill set that has universal applications to a variety of industries. This has developed and expanded my flexibility as a web designer and front-end developer and grown my knowledge in this area.

I am committed to continuously learning code and programming, dedicating my free time to developing small personal projects, exploring technical articles online, and engaging with tutorials in new languages, frameworks, and programming tools. My passion for technology and continuous learning is the driving force behind my goal to enhance my professional expertise in computer science. To achieve this, I plan to successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Information Science and Technology. This program will provide me with the advanced training and skills essential for my career progression. Beyond this, I aim to use this experience as a foundational step towards enrolling in the Information Science and Technology MS program, which will further elevate my academic and professional standing in the tech industry.

Web Development

The work involved in developing a Web site for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network). Web development can range from developing a simple single static page of plain text to complex Web-based Internet applications (Web apps), electronic businesses, and social network services.

Designing

Encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. Web design include web graphic design; user interface design (UI design); authoring, including standardised code and proprietary software; user experience design (UX design); and search engine optimization.

Front-end Programming

The practice of converting data to a graphical interface, through the use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, so that users can view and interact with that data. Front-end web development, also known as client-side development is the practice of producing HTML, CSS and JavaScript for a website or Web Application so that a user can see and interact with them directly.

Java Programming

A class-based, object-oriented programming language that is designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It is a general-purpose programming language intended to let application developers write once, run anywhere (WORA), meaning that compiled Java code can run on all platforms that support Java without the need for recompilation.
